NIHR POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP

The Advanced Fellowship is for those at a post-doctoral level and can be utilised at several specific points of a researcher’s career development.

AXA FELLOWSHIP

Candidates should be maximum PhD+ 5 years with proven scientific excellence and high potential for innovation, transformation and dissemination.

1851 RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

1851 Research Fellowships are intended to give early career scientists or engineers of exceptional promise the opportunity to conduct a research project of their own instigation.

WELLCOME RESEARCH CAREER RE-ENTRY FELLOWSHIPS

This scheme offers postdoctoral research scientists the opportunity to re-establish their scientific careers after a continuous break from research of at least two years.

DAPHNE JACKSON FELLOWSHIP

These fellowships are for those looking to return to a research career after a break of two or more years for family, health or caring reasons. The aim is to give participants the confidence and skills they need to make a successful return to research.

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables researchers with above-average qualifications from Germany at all career levels to conduct research with members of the Humboldt Network around the world.

SWISS NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION SNSF

Early career mobility for applicants who have recently received their doctoral degree from ETH Zurich and Post-Doc mobility for applicants who are Swiss nationals or hold a valid Swiss permanent residence, residence or cross-border commuter permit

Opportunities to apply for PhD funding at McClurg Lab

The Scholarship is open for application to all prospective full-time postgraduate research students irrespective of nationality or tuition fee status.

Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships provide talented and motivated individuals with the opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills in their given sector, in order to contribute to sustainable development in their home countries.

THE BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM FONDS

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) awards PhD fellowships to European citizens working in Europe or overseas and to non-European citizens pursuing their PhD projects in Europe.

NIHR DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP

NIHR funded PhD scholarship for science graduates and clinicians wanting to undertake a PhD.

Applications are invited from medical graduates, clinicians, bioengineers, research nurses, physiotherapists and allied health professionals who wish to train in research techniques and methodology applied to subjects relevant to the aims of the charity.

The Sir Joseph Rotblat Alumni Scholarship, has been launched to specifically support alumni of the Liverpool University who are returning as postgraduate research students; recognising both their academic merit and financial need.

JOHN LENNON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

For candidates either born in, or with very strong family connections to, Merseyside.

THE UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL AND CHINA SCHOLARSHIP COUNCIL AWARDS

The scholarship available to Chinese nationals covers all tuition fees and research fees and provides living expenses and one return flight ticket to successful candidates. The scholarships are up to 4 years in duration.

MARSHALL SCHOLARSHIPS

20,000 scholarship available to US nationals.

UNIVERSITY OF LIVERPOOL HONG KONG GRADUATE ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIPS

The University is able to offer competitive scholarships for offer holders from Hong Kong.

TUNG SCHOLARSHIP

The Tung PhD scholarship is worth £10,000 and is awarded annually to students from Hong Kong who can prove academic excellence

MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING VIETNAM RESEARCH AWARDS

20% reduction in fees available to Vietnamese nationals.

CONACYT

Scheme open to Mexican nationals allowing 30% reduction in fees.

CLINICAL RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP

MRC funding for clinicians, including (but not limited to) medics, surgeons, dentists, clinical psychologists, public health specialty trainees, allied health professionals, nurses, midwives and veterinarians to undertake a PhD.
